Sanyo 43 Inch TV Review 2020
Recently, we narrated the Best 43″ Smart TV Review, and this Sanyo model managed to be on the fifth spot there. However, considering value for the money, it was the best. We said so because this 43″ model costs around 3k lesser than the competitors, mostly just because of less popularity than the bigger brands such as Samsung, Kotak, Sony, etc. let’s read about bigger attractions:
About The Brand: Sanyo
Sanyo, as we already know, is a subsidiary of Panasonic. Panasonic is a Japanese brand. This translates to a higher brand reputation, more appreciable post-sales service, and undoubtedly better quality products. There are gonna be over 450 service centers throughout India, as per Sanyo’s claim.
We ordered our testing TV model, we received it promptly, and most importantly, within 2 days, we got the technician who did the installation. After that, there was much for us to examine and reveal.
The Sanyo 43 Inch LED TV comes with a bezel-less display. These bevels are truly, and there is no interference with the viewing experience. The lower bevel, however, is a bit thicker for providing sufficient space for displaying “Sanyo.” On the rear side, you find the design as per your expectations forms a budget-friendly 43-inch smart LED TV.
The small extruding part is neither that thin nor that bulky. The power port you get on the rear right side, and on the left, you see the rest of the ports. When wall-mounted, it provides enough gap to access to the ports. In short, there is nothing fancy, and aesthetics are mostly as per expectations.
Smart Features of Sanyo 43 Inch TV
Powered by a Quad-core processor with 1.75 GB RAM & internal storage measuring 8 GB, the Sanyo Kaizen series is a trusted and certified Android TV. Firstly, this TV takes approximately 25 seconds to boot up. That is a bit long compared to end TVs, which are available at a premium price, but nothing from ordinary when you compare with any other budget-friendly model.
Initializing Chromecast and similarly loading apps requires a bit of time. That is having been said; once a video starts playing or an app is loaded, there’s absolutely no stuttering or lag in case you have a fast online connection. Navigation from the home display is also quite smooth and easy. From Play Store, you can download programs of your choice.
Along with YouTube, Amazon Prime and Netflix, regional apps like Hotstar, Voot, etc. are also pre-installed. But there’s a catch. Just about 3 GB of free space is available after pre-installed programs and all updates, Although the TV includes 8 GB storage. There isn’t any way to enlarge the storage also. So, space for installing additional apps may be rather limited.
How user friendly?
Talking about the distant, it’s conservative, yet user friendly. We feel minimalistic remotes such as the one from Mi and One Plus are a pain, particularly to the not-so-tech-friendly people as they may find it difficult to take care of essential functions such as muting, locating the source, etc. With the distance from Sanyo, you do not have any problem.
Being Bluetooth, you do have to point and click. Additionally, it has assembled voice recognition controlling facilitated by Google Assistant and also a dedicated key for the same as well as for Netflix. But on the flip side, being Bluetooth enabled device, it’s a bit delicate (that’s actually the case with all LED TVs below 50K rupees).
In case you have kids, you might want to keep it as falls would cause it to get ruined. The voice recognition works well even when you use regional words. Mostly, with other similarly priced TV, we found occasional gaffes, but not with this TV.
For instance, it didn’t require more than one attempt when asked to find the closest Sanyo service center as it recognized the word”Sanyo” pretty easily. Not just that, we further tested with several more terms, and the TV did well every single time. As navigating via the keypad with the direction button is an endeavor, but that being said, voice helper is quite a boon.
The Sanyo Kaizen series comes across all of the variants with 20 Watt Sound output. Additionally, the Sanyo TV43 inch smart tvs upports Dolby Digital and DTS Trusound, which has to be enabled from the TV configurations.
The sound is loud, and there are sufficient clarity and differentiation between background scores and the human voice. There isn’t anything that is extraordinary, but you would surely love what you are getting. The buyers are likely to be quite pleased with the audio quality. Also, for enjoying cinema like sound quality, you can cherish our Best Home Theater Review.
Sanyo 43 Inch 4K TV comes with a 4K UHD display with IPS panel and HDR support. It is also among the very few budget-friendly TVs which support Dolby Vision. An analysis will result in highly satisfactory display quality concerning colour, contrast, and texture.
The majority of laymen would be absolutely happy with the image quality. The user rating obtained for this on Amazon corroborates are awesome. We watched the Waka Waka from YouTube along with 4K wildlife videos, and we are absolutely pleased with the image quality. Our pleasure doubled when we watched a live soccer match!
The blacks are dark and deep, colours are vibrant and pop out, and the comparison is quite commendable. Full HD videos are quite a joy to your eyes. To check the video out, we joined to Tatasky HD connection. Though the HD content was decent, the SD content expected was rather pixelated.
The SD to HD upscaling Technology might perhaps be the place where corners have cut as you find better SD picture quality in the likes of Samsung and LG, but not quite so in budget TVs. We highly recommend using an HD Set Top Box with this Television.
The colour contrast and saturation were appreciable—the 60 Hz refresh rate to turns out to be fairly sufficient. We saw a few high-speed chases from Fast & Furious and did not find any drop in frame rate or blur. The picture quality is truly appreciable, and you do feel like it’s an offering out of a budget-friendly manufacturer.
Sanyo 43 Inch 4K TV Review: Any negatives?
Well, regarding the negative part, we have a bit of thing to explain about the Sanyo 43 inch LED TV. You can’t really expect much of Smart features with this TV, and loading apps consume a bit of time sometimes. However, that happens with most of the TVs around this price. The good news is that the apps run smoothly if once initiated.
Internet connection is rapid, and you enjoy a strong signal. In case you are expecting bombastic audio, then better don’t! for getting that luxury in your TV, spend 10-15K extra over Sanyo 43 Inch 4K TV price. So, that’s not a legit complaint here if we think deep.
Another negative is that in case you want to change the TV settings regarding pictures, audio, etc. The process is a bit long, which annoys a few users in the beginning, but after that, putting 5 seconds extra won’t hurt you much, as you’re saving money with this TV for sure.
